Retrieved some scones from here-- fresh and delicious; perfectly crisp and flavored-- not too sweet/pretty amount of filling. Strawberry/blueberry/multi/choc chip! Not a fan on their overly salty biscuits, inedible.

Stopped in here to grab a couple of pastries while scones actually, my favorite is the pumpkin. Grab the tea on this chili, November. My favorite is always Jasmine. Highly recommend although the apricot is really good as well..

I was so pleased to see Alice's Tea Cup is still around in this location! What a longstanding neighborhood business. We went on a weekday and it wasn't crowded at all so we had a peaceful and relaxing tea. They offer regular food items if you don't want to do the tea set. The tea set prices are reasonable, especially the tea for two. The scones are good. The sandwiches, desserts and teas are fairly average (3.5 rating) but for the price and being able to support a charming local tea shop, I'm rating Alice's a 4.

Truly a gem of a shop. I've had this place on my to-try list for almost 2 years and I finally went with a friend that's been before. Very cute decor and calm atmosphere (when there aren't kids anyway but hey, that's not their fault). I LOVE their daily scone selections and how they change them everyday. I'm not vegan, but even the vegan scones are delicious and sometimes even better than the non-vegan ones. The staff are always warm and welcoming. It does get busy so sometimes it takes a bit for a staff member to take my order but honestly there's a lot to choose from from the menu so it's not even an issue. Whenever I've asked for a substitution, the staff are always more than happy to accommodate if they can (like asking for scrambled eggs instead of poached, hash instead of fries, etc). I'm from the suburbs so I've been enjoying coming here for the past month or so with my friends or on my own. I'm even taking two friends tomorrow for the first time because I want them to enjoy this place as much as I do! Even going to hopefully bring my family when they visit from El Salvador since they love tea as much as I do. Don't hesitate to try this place out--definitely make a reservation! On the weekends they don't require reservation.

Such a cute place for afternoon tea and all things Alice in Wonderland! From the food, to the tea pots to the actual furniture. Even some of the tables were sewing tables that got repurposed and I loved it. My friend had taken me here after months of telling me how great this place is and I'm so happy I finally went. First off, it seems to be very popular for children, and they can even get dusted with pixie dust! Secondly, be sure to make your reservations ahead of time as it seems like it fills up quick. I got the Mad Hatter afternoon tea set and it was the perfect amount of food for 2 people. My favorite was the Lapsang Souchong smoked chicken breast sandwich. It had slices of granny smith apple, greens and herbed goat cheese. The only sad part was one of the macarons came out crushed. Everything tasted great and while the chocolate mousse was too sweet for me, I think it would definitely be a hit for those with a sweet tooth. If you love snacks and Alice in Wonderland, this is quite literally the spot!

Service: 4.5/5 Food: 3.5/5 Ambiance: cute, good for a girls day or brunch Perfect if you're a fan of Alice in Wonderland. If not, it's still a cute place. Very standard tea room in terms of tea and food options. Most of the tables are low light, so try to scout for a window seat. What I Ordered: - Finest Jasmine Pearls Tea: fragrant, mix of floral + green. reminds me of the tea my Chinese grandma drinks - Grilled Veggie Sandwich: eating partner liked it. although, warning it does have goat cheese, so not vegan/lactose-intolerant friendly. - Lapsang Chicken Sandwich: like a typical chicken salad sandwich

I love going out for afternoon tea. I had a groupon for the Mad Hatter for two which was offered at a $20 discount. The location is incredibly close to central park and I thought the pricing was incredibly reasonable for the location and portion size. The tea service was delicious. Alice's selection of tea is incredibly extensive. I had the 44th FLOTUS which was fruity and rich, but there is such an impressive selection. For sandwiches we had egg salad and the curried chicken. I was pleased to see multiple vegetarian options. The tea offered three kinds of scones which change daily. Overall large portion sizes for tea and we ended up boxing some food to go. Service was great, we were there on a warm Friday afternoon and were seated promptly with no reservation. Our server was attentive and everything arrived fast and as ordered. The decor was fine. I don't think the first floor is as on theme as the upstairs. Some of our dishes were chipped which is unlucky in some cultures but overall a lovely experience.
